Independent Employee Associations Working Together

The Working Assembly of Governmental Employees (or WAGE) is a national coalition of independent labor organizations that is dedicated to furthering the interests of our member organizations.  We have banded together to offer support and advice to each other, while allowing each organization to maintain its independence.

What We Do

WAGE members work together to help each independent member organization when such help is needed.  We've sent people to help fend off raids, we've offered advice when asked, and we've shared our best ideas.  One of the hardest parts of running an independent labor organization is that you may sometimes feel as though you're the only one in the world who is facing your challenges.  WAGE members, when feeling that way, can send out a cry for help.  Other WAGE members with experience in similar situations chime in and provide the benefit of their knowledge.

Conferences

WAGE members hold conferences twice each year.  The conferences are held in locations where we have WAGE member organizations. Recently, we've convened in Bend, OR, in Sacramento, CA, in Park City, UT, and in Las Vegas, NV.  Conferences are our opportunity to share our experiences face-to-face, and to learn from our invited guests.
